Public Cloud Group (PCG) and NetApp are collaborating to support the digital transformation and enhance the ability to innovate European businesses. NetApp's adaptable and high-performance data management platform is available on relevant hyperscalers, allowing customers to expedite their cloud migration substantially and build native cloud and hybrid systems with redundancies to efficiently find and rectify issues. This advantage extends beyond migrations of existing environments to newly developed cloud native applications, bolstering data and workload mobility, and meeting customer demands. In the past, PCG has effectively leveraged NetApp’s technology in data center migrations, as well as SAP migrations and other workloads for their customers. The outcome has been shorter project completion timeframes, reduced operational efforts, and lower total cost of ownership. Now, the companies officially join forces in a strategic initiative.
Leveraging NetApp Technology for Cloud Customers
Preceding the announcement, PCG received the designation to become a NetApp Preferred Partner, a title embedded in a recent initiative brought into being by the global cloud and data giant. As a Preferred Partner, PCG has cultivated expertise in deploying NetApp technology and serves as the first point of contact for customers looking to move to the public cloud. As a result, PCG supports NetApp clients navigating complex IT transformations along the entire cloud journey. Use cases include migrations to AWS, seamless migrations of VMware environments to VMC, containerizing workloads. Using the NetApp data management platform allows customers to quicker leverage their data from applications such as SAP in order to implement cutting-edge data-driven and GenAI solutions for productivity enhancement. PCG's recently achieved SAP Competency on AWS provides a common platform for collaborative efforts: NetApp's sophisticated ONTAP feature set for data optimisation is specifically tailored to high-performance computing and certified enterprise applications such as SAP HANA. For SAP customers in particular, using NetApp Cloud Services with hyperscalers, especially FSx ONTAP on AWS, will greatly simplify migration processes by allowing them to easily move their SAP applications to the cloud using familiar ONTAP interfaces. Therefore, the obtained NetApp Preferred Partner status as well as the SAP Competency bestowed by AWS, deems PCG as the ideal partner for SAP migrations to AWS utilizing NetApp technologies.
“We regard ourselves as an extension of NetApp’s fantastic service offerings,” comments Julian Grumbach, Director AWS Business & Partner Development at PCG. “With our new designation, PCG now confidently acts as a service provider, which is able to credibly deliver NetApps level of customer centricity. Joining forces means joint efficiency for the customer, and we cannot wait to accelerate future and existing NetApp clients in their individual cloud journeys with NetApp and hyperscalers, unlocking the real value of the Power of Three.”
