PCG Named as a Launch Partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC)
Public Cloud Group (PCG) has been selected as an official AWS Launch Partner for the introduction of the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), making it one of the first partners to support organizations in the DACH region and beyond with the planning, migration, and operation of sovereign AWS environments – regardless of industry, company size, or regulatory framework.
Sovereign Cloud for the Highest Compliance Requirements
The new AWS Region, scheduled to go live in Brandenburg, Germany by the end of 2025, will be physically and logically separate from existing AWS Regions, operated exclusively within the European Union, and managed by EU-based personnel. It meets the highest requirements for data sovereignty and compliance – an area in which PCG has extensive experience and a proven track record of delivering successful customer projects.
The AWS European Sovereign Cloud is a purpose-built AWS Region, physically and logically isolated from existing AWS Regions. It is operated entirely within the EU by EU-based personnel and ensures that all customer data – including metadata – remains within the EU.
The ESC is designed not only for highly regulated industries such as the public sector, financial services, or healthcare, but for any organization seeking to combine innovation with clearly defined data protection, governance, and compliance requirements. AWS will invest approximately €7.8 billion in Germany by 2040 to expand and strengthen this cloud infrastructure. For organizations, this means maximum data sovereignty combined with AWS’s innovation power and comprehensive service portfolio – from scalable infrastructure and Data & AI to industry-specific solutions.
