Largest AWS Partner in the DACH Region: kreuzwerker Joins PCG

PCG and kreuzwerker take a significant step forward: with the integration of kreuzwerker GmbH into the Public Cloud Group (PCG), the largest AWS partner in the DACH region, specialized purely in public cloud solutions, is formed. This partnership not only brings together extensive expertise and synergies on both technical and human levels but also sends a clear signal for continued growth and innovation.

Strategic Consolidation of Expertise

PCG and kreuzwerker are joining forces to consolidate their strengths, becoming the largest AWS partner in the DACH region in terms of the number of AWS experts and competencies. Together, they boast over 150 AWS experts with approximately 400 certifications and a total of seven competencies, further solidifying their leadership in this field. Both companies cater to a similar target audience, dedicating themselves to the German-speaking mid-market and enterprise customers.

The synergies span technical aspects of AWS and software development, with both companies already enjoying an excellent reputation in these areas. On a human level, the corporate cultures are a perfect match: flat hierarchies, a shared vision and mission, and a strong commitment from employees to the company's growth.

“We are joining PCG because we have found a partner who shares our goals and visions for the future 100%. This opens up new opportunities for us and especially for our colleagues in a cultural environment built on the same values we have upheld for over ten years. This rarity makes us a great match,” explains Daniel Meissen, CEO of kreuzwerker GmbH, on the decision.

Unified Direction

Since 2010, kreuzwerker GmbH has been a renowned AWS partner and currently holds the status of AWS Advanced Consulting Partner. They support numerous customers with their cloud-native portfolio, which includes AWS cloud migration, application modernization and development, and managed services. These services align perfectly with PCG's portfolio, making for an ideal complement and expansion. The expertise of kreuzwerker GmbH will be integrated into the specialized AWS and cloud development business units of PCG, which are organized thematically across the DACH region.

“We are very excited to welcome the new colleagues from kreuzwerker into our units,” says Hannes Novak, Business Unit Director of the AWS Unit in the DACH region. “Our technical know-how will be further enhanced, which we will showcase in both our existing and new customer environments. Our explicit goal is to grow together: initially as one and then as the best AWS partner into the future!”

The business unit structure of PCG allows for seamless integration, continuation of existing projects, and a focused approach to both existing and new customers. As part of this full integration, kreuzwerker GmbH will be fully incorporated into PCG by the end of the year and will no longer operate independently in the market.

PCG Consistently Expands Market Competence

Through this integration, PCG further strengthens its position as a leading cloud provider in Europe. In 2022, the integration of Miracle Mill AG already expanded AWS and development expertise with a focus on Europe. PCG now continues this success with planned growth in the DACH region.

“Our strategy is to exclusively integrate companies into our Public Cloud Group that make absolute sense in terms of content, expertise, and culture,” explains Thorsten Raquet, CEO of PCG, on the strategic expansion. “With kreuzwerker, we have found such a match, with whom we can now pursue our overarching growth plan to reach the top of the European cloud market together.”

PCG's unique approach as a comprehensive companion for customers on their cloud journey remains a central USP. PCG strategically combines relevant hyperscaler and technology solutions, enabling customers to work strategically in the cloud and experience significant added value.

By the end of 2024, PCG will reach the 550-employee mark, having grown predominantly organically despite the integration of kreuzwerker GmbH. Additionally, the technology areas around security, data & AI, and SAP will continue to be consistently expanded and supported with appropriate hyperscaler certifications.
