Microsoft confirms Public Cloud Group’s high level of expertise in Modern Work, Infrastructure (Azure), Data & AI (Azure), Digital & App Innovation (Azure), and Security. This award underscores PCG’s commitment to technological excellence and its leadership in delivering best-in-class cloud solutions from the hyperscaler Microsoft.
Moreover, PCG has earned two coveted specialisations in “Teamwork Deployment (Modern Work)” and “Azure Virtual Desktop (Azure)” in just six months, demonstrating deep expertise within individual solution areas.
Certified practical knowledge for high customer performance
PCG subsidiary SWITCOM (Part of BU PCG X Microsoft) has been relying on cloud solutions from hyperscaler Microsoft since 2007. Thanks to the expertise and broad industry know-how of more than 100 certified Microsoft experts, PCG has completed numerous successful international projects in the five award-winning solution areas. PCG customers can thus rely on having certified cloud specialists with extensive cloud and project knowledge at their side for their digitisation projects.
Oliver Schallhorn, CEO of PCG expressed his delight: “Being recognised as a Microsoft Solutions Partner five times over confirms we’re on the right track with PCG. Hyperscalers, especially Microsoft, agree. Our Microsoft team is one of the strongest in the market, as shown by our receipt of five certifications in less than six months”.
Edith Wittmann, General Manager Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft Germany, also highlighted the importance of the partnership: “The Microsoft Solutions Partner award demonstrates Public Cloud Group’s extensive expertise and its ability to support customers with first-class solutions based on Microsoft.

Ambitious growth targets
With a clear goal to continually expand its capabilities, PCG plans to achieve additional specialisations in each of its five solution areas by mid-2024. These targeted focus areas will enable PCG to further expand its range of innovative cloud solutions and offer its customers even more effective and tailored solutions. These include Infrastructure and Database Migration, Web Application Modernisation, SAP Cloud Services on Microsoft Azure, Adoption and Change Management, Modernise Endpoints, Threat Protection, and Identity and Access Management. The PCG experts are also working towards the highest certification, the Azure Expert MSP, which is also to be issued by Microsoft in 2024.
PCG’s bundled knowledge pays off
PCG, which is active not only in Germany but also in Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Greece, is continuously expanding its knowledge in specialised units for cloud development, security and SAP cloud services. These contribute significantly to the successful designation as a Microsoft Solutions Partner.
“Through our Security unit, we were able to meet the requirements of the awards in a very short time. The cooperation of the two German PCG subsidiaries SWITCOM and LNW-Soft (BU PCG X Microsoft), both of which are certified Microsoft Partner companies, has also accelerated us enormously. This is where the bundled knowledge of PCG truly pays off!” adds Thorsten Raquet, COO of PCG.
For certification as a Microsoft Solutions Partner, experts from PCG Germany and PCG Austria combined their expertise. PCG Germany’s Cloud Development division also contributed to five awards through numerous certifications. PCG, which currently has 350 experts, continues to pursue ambitious growth targets and aims to grow to 500 employees by the middle of next year.
