PCG strengthens Leadership: New Management Duos for AWS and Cloud Native Development Divisions in DACH-region

The Public Cloud Group (PCG) continues to focus on strong growth and an experienced leadership team. David Müller and Daniel Meisen will lead the “PCG X AWS” business unit as a new management duo, driving PCG’s hyperscaler business in the DACH region. Simultaneously, Müller hands over the leadership of the cloud-native development division, which he successfully established, to David Scharfschwerdt and Robin Nemetz—an already well-coordinated team poised to continue PCG’s success in this area.

“PCG X AWS” Under New Leadership – David Müller and Daniel Meisen Take Charge

PCG is consistently expanding its AWS business. In July 2024, the European cloud service provider acquired Berlin-based AWS partner kreuzwerker, integrating more than 50 infrastructure and development experts into its team.

Joining Daniel Meisen, who became Business Unit Director following the acquisition, David Müller will now complete the management duo. “Daniel is unmatched in his expertise and network within the AWS ecosystem. His experience lays the perfect foundation for leading our AWS unit together with David and steering it toward a successful future,” emphasizes PCG CEO Thorsten Raquet.

Müller officially takes over the new division in the DACH-region as of January 1, 2025, transitioning to the hyperscaler team.

David Müller: A Proven Track Record in Building the Development Division

David Müller is no stranger to PCG. Over the past two years, he has impressively built the cloud-native development division (“PCG X Dev.”) in the DACH region. Starting with a small team of three experts, the unit now comprises more than 60 specialists working on client projects across various industries. The team’s expertise spans app and software development, refactoring and modernization, UI/UX design, and quality assurance.

“David Müller excels not only with his pragmatic management style and structured approach, but also with his unique ability to unite teams with empathy and vision. Having known David for years, I’m continually impressed by his ambition and drive when tackling new topics, tasks, and challenges. This mindset is truly unique, and I’m excited to see David further expand our AWS unit,” says Thorsten Raquet, CEO of PCG.

The “PCG X AWS” division now includes over 100 experts. As a long-standing and established partner of Amazon Web Services (AWS), PCG holds AWS Premier Partner status and additional certifications, along with a rare AWS Strategic Collaboration Agreement. AWS already collaborates with PCG across multiple European countries, deepening partnerships in strategic customer projects in the DACH region, Sweden, and Greece.

Proven Leadership: Scharfschwerdt and Nemetz Take Over “PCG X Dev.” Unit

With David Müller’s transition, two other long-standing leaders take center stage. David Scharfschwerdt and Robin Nemetz will jointly lead the cloud-native development business unit in the German-speaking area as Business Unit Directors.

Both have been instrumental in establishing and driving the success of the unit from the very beginning. Their complementary skills create a strong foundation: Scharfschwerdt focuses on technical expertise and project delivery, while Nemetz specializes in strategically aligning sales and marketing efforts. Having worked as a well-established team for years, they are well-prepared to step into their predecessor’s shoes.

“It was important to me to hand over the development division to trusted hands. With David and Robin, I’ve found the perfect successors. They’ve been part of this growth journey with me from the start, making them the ideal choice to continue writing our success story,” explains David Müller.

PCG Focuses on Growth and Leadership Excellence

This strategic step not only strengthens PCG’s AWS business but also enhances its leadership structure, with expertise and empathy at the forefront. For 2025, the company has ambitious goals: PCG plans to continue its growth trajectory with around 100 new hires and expand to approximately 600 experts by the end of 2025.

“Our growth is built on a bold vision, a strong strategy, and an exceptional team. Expanding our leadership team is another crucial step toward cementing our position as Europe’s leading cloud partner. I’m looking forward to what lies ahead—The best is yet to come,” concludes Thorsten Raquet.
