The Challenge
Previously, the entire web store was run on an on-premise infrastructure. The growing need for scalability was a decisive criterion for the migration to the Amazon AWS Cloud.
In order to be able to handle high loads, visitor rates and scalability in the future, myposter GmbH decided to migrate completely to the AWS Cloud.
The Solution
Our AWS experts actively supported the complete migration starting with the initial kick-off workshop. Together with myposter's internal DevOps team, the full AWS migration was successfully completed within a few weeks. The entire infrastructure was developed in AWS CloudFormation and provides full automation for live and staging systems.
Results and Benefits
Since the migration, myposter has been able to handle the entire Christmas business without any configuration changes using auto-scaling in a cost-efficient way. Due to the uncomplicated migration to AWS, it was possible to carry out initial evaluations with Kubernetes straight away. In the next step, this technology will also be used in a productive capacity.
