Solutions Architect

Introduction

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Well-Architected team and help us grow and shape the organisation. If you are an experienced software engineer interested in software architecture, developing in the cloud, development processes and the importance of their continuous improvement and believe you have the knowledge and skills to act as a facilitator for them, you should keep reading.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and establish architecture of applications
  • Guide teams in terms of system architecture with a focus on AWS
  • Work closely with the Business Development team and communicate with existing as well as new customers, holding meetings and proposing changes
  • Ensure that processes are being followed, such as code reviews, deployment processes, etc.
  • Provide input in defining, documenting and continuously improving the development processes
  • Track the setup of projects and identify triggers that require a rethink of the current setup of work and processes
  • Spend 25-50% of the working time on programming with diverse tasks in order to upgrade knowledge
  • Conduct Well-Architected Reviews and resolve identified high risk issues (HRIs)
  • Conduct technical interviews and rate assignments, assessing the suitability of candidate employees
  • Contribute to AWS events and obtain certifications and re-certifications continuously
  • Organise Game Days for Managed Services customers
  • Participate in the sales processes
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Software Development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Native speaker for the respected locations
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • At least 2 references from previous positions
  • Preferably a previous experience as a team leader, scrum master, product owner or project manager
  • At least some experience in developing with AWS
  • AWS Certification or willingness to get certified
