The GOP Entertainment-Group is a leading variety theater company in Europe, operating seven theaters across Germany. The company produces and presents a wide range of variety shows while also running gastronomy facilities within each theater. With over 800 employees, GOP Entertainment provides unique and unforgettable entertainment to more than 800,000 guests every year.
Overcoming Legacy IT Constraints
GOP Entertainment faced the challenge of modernizing its IT infrastructure for team collaboration.

Their previous solution relied on a terminal server, an Active Directory, and local Microsoft Office programs.

Setting the Stage with Google Workspace
Compared to other providers, Google Workspace offered a more cost-effective and user-friendly solution. In coordination with GOP Entertainment’s internal IT service provider, the Public Cloud Group (PCG) executed the migration and provided consulting on security matters.
The new permissions structure accommodates the different theater locations to which employees are assigned, as well as cross-functional departments and administrative levels. At the same time, central management via the Google Admin Console has drastically simplified IT administration.
