PCG’s AWS business unit was awarded the highly sought-after “Managed Service Provider” (MSP) designation by AWS for its proven track record and experience, providing customers with end-to-end AWS solutions at every stage of the journey to the cloud. From initial design and planning to building and migration, Managed Service Providers can serve as the first touch point for prospects seeking top-tier managed service for their AWS environment. Additionally, Managed Service Providers aid and consult clients in their cloud operation as well as in automation and optimisation.
The recognition corroborates PCG’s commitment to delivering supreme services to customers and lays down the pathway to future achievements in PCG´s strategic collaboration with AWS.
A testament of competency
To earn the AWS MSP designation, PCG accomplished an independent audit, ensuring the company’s competencies, business health, and technical capabilities meet the program´s high bar. The validation process of the AWS MSP Program comprises a multi-day audit executed by a third-party auditor, which certifies the PCG’s proficiency in rendering top-tier managed services and capabilities pertaining to cloud architecture, business risk, operational excellence, and performance optimisation in their AWS clients’ environments.
The incorporation of a third-party validation audit serves as a crucial trust factor for AWS Partner Network (APN) Partners and AWS customers who can, thereby, confidently recognise authorised AWS MSP Partners. The validation signifies MSPs’ abilities to deliver Amazon's renowned level of customer focus. The audit also included PCG’s capabilities regarding AWS’ Well-Architected Framework to warrant the company’s own commitment to the six pillars of Well-Architected operations. Successfully completed projects, which served as the basis for the independent MSP audit, included monitoring and alerting processes as well as continuous improvement of environments and cloud journey support at PCG’s long-standing customer Lobster DATA GmbH. Initially available to customers only as on-premises solutions hosted on their own server or in Lobster's data centre, the company has migrated its software delivery to AWS. Lobster now uses AWS as a scalable, automated, global platform to deploy its own software products in minutes instead of hours or even days.
“We are very excited to receive the AWS’ MSP designation. The designation not only sets us apart from other providers in terms of our verifiable competencies but also plays a major role in PCG’s development for years to come,” says Dagmar Ziegler, Business Unit Manager of PCG X AWS in Germany. “As part of the PCG’s growth trajectory, which is embedded deeply in the AWS strategic programs, receiving the MSP status was imperative. We cannot wait to accelerate client’s cloud journeys with our newly received accolade.”
Significant benefits for customers
PCG’s customers in their AWS cloud environment can benefit significantly from the MSP status: From initial set-up to continuous improvements and operation, such as regular cost optimisations, the MSP status allows PCG to deliver new service offerings with attractive features, which are coordinated closely with AWS. Moreover, companies beginning their cloud journey can now choose PCG as an European player who can deliver top-tier services.
“Our shared entrepreneurial backgrounds ensure that we are adept at handling challenges posed by European SMEs and enterprise companies. Becoming an MSP is a desired designation for many, but only a few can achieve this status. Our proven expertise and dedication have paid off, which makes us the ideal partner for customers beginning or successfully expanding their cloud journey." stated Thorsten Raquet, Chief Executive Officer at PCG.
