The Problem
As enomyc continued to grow, so did the demands on its IT infrastructure. Its historically evolved hybrid environment, consisting of Azure AD and on-premises domain controllers, was increasingly reaching its limits. The main challenge was the high level of administrative overhead.
- Manual processes: Device management was handled manually, while software and license administration relied on separate spreadsheets and lists.
- Legacy structures: The security architecture had grown historically and was not consistently standardized. Goal: a uniform level of protection with centralized identity and password management.
- A highly mobile workforce: As an international consulting firm with project-based teams working across locations, enomyc required an IT environment that was secure, flexible, and available at all times.
The Solution
Working closely with Public Cloud Group (PCG) as its strategic technology partner, enomyc transformed its IT infrastructure into a modern cloud-only architecture. The project focused on three key areas:
- MODERN WORK & AUTOMATION: New devices are now provisioned automatically through Microsoft Autopilot and Microsoft Intune. Applications, permissions (managed through dynamic groups), and updates are deployed seamlessly in the background. Employee offboarding can now also be completed entirely remotely.
- COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY UPGRADE: Security was significantly strengthened through the implementation of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, modern firewall architectures, and a complete redesign of administrative privileges based on the principle of least privilege.
- Managed Cloud Operations (MCO): enomyc relies on PCG’s long-term expertise to operate and maintain its cloud infrastructure. Through Managed Cloud Operations, PCG provides proactive monitoring and continuous maintenance, ensuring a stable cloud environment while reducing the workload of the internal IT team.
