Over the past few days, Public Cloud Group (PCG) have had the honour of participating in FAIEMA 2024
, one of the most prestigious and exclusive AI conferences of the year. Held from October 1-2, the event brought together leading minds in AI innovation, including key speakers from top universities and industry giants, to explore how AI is shaping the future across various sectors.
Innovative AI Solutions with AWS at FAIEMA 2024
Our very own Thanasis Politis, Solutions Architect at PCG, delivered a standout presentation on implementing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system for the Greek National Documentation Center (NDC). His talk, titled "Implementing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation System for Enhanced Document Access," highlighted how AWS Cloud Services like AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and Amazon Bedrock were leveraged to process vast document repositories efficiently. The solution allows for sophisticated AI-driven querying, unlocking new levels of accessibility and efficiency in managing large datasets.
Also representing PCG was Vasko Donev, System Architect, who demonstrated our expertise in infrastructure monitoring with his presentation on Automated Pothole Detection using AWS Rekognition. His session focused on how PCG is addressing road surface maintenance challenges by using computer vision and cloud computing to detect and catalogue road defects. This scalable solution, powered by AWS Rekognition, AWS Lambda, and Amazon S3, is transforming road monitoring and enabling more proactive infrastructure maintenance.
